About the DMC
The IRIS DMC archives and distributes data to support the seismological research community. The state-of-the-art data center is located near the University of Washington in Seattle.
New server for real-time data feeds from the IRIS DMC
Real-time export data feeds from the IRIS DMC are now available from
a new host: rtserve.iris.washington.edu. SeedLink export
feeds are available on port 18000 as outlined here: http://www.iris.edu/data/dmc-seedlink.htm.
Deprecated LISS export feeds are available on the same
ports as before, but are considered legacy and will
not be supported in the future. The old export feeds
from bud.iris.washington.edu will be shut down on August 31st 2008.
For many years real-time feeds from the IRIS DMC have been available from the same host doing the bulk of the real-time data collection. This change allows us to separate these critical services while at the same time updating the hardware and software for our real-time export system.
Data Access Tools
IRIS has a variety of new tools for requesting and viewing data, including DHI clients and mapping tools. An easy way to find these tools is shown on the chart for Request Methods and Data Repositories. Read More
JWEED 3.1 - new release
JWEED is a powerful, event-oriented data access tool.
Using JWEED a person can obtain event-oriented waveforms from any institution which implements Data Handling Interface (DHI) services. Using WMS mapping tools, a user can find desired earthquakes, locate responding stations, and download waveforms directly to their computer. Waveforms can be viewed on screen and saved to SAC and miniSEED data files. Version 3.1 is available for download here.
Request Event Data Using WILBER
WILBER II allows you to select from a catalog of events for which the DMC has SPYDER® and/or FARM data products (waveforms). FARM products become available 6 weeks to 3 months after the event and are easily accessed using WILBER II.
